Terms & Conditions
Parking Requirements
Adequate, on-site parking must be provided for our team upon arrival. This is essential to
safely unload and load animals and equipment. Please inform us of any restrictions or access
issues prior to the session date.
Weather and Indoor Space
If the session is to be held outdoors, an indoor alternative space must be available in the event
of rain or if the temperature falls below 15°C. This is to safeguard the welfare of our animals
and ensure the session can still go ahead comfortably.
Participant Numbers
The agreed number of participants must be confirmed at the time of booking. If additional
participants are present on the day, we reserve the right to charge an additional £2 per person.
This helps us maintain quality engagement and appropriate animal-to-participant ratios.
Safety Clause
We reserve the right to end any session at any time, without refund, if it is deemed unsafe or
unsuitable for the animals or staff involved. This includes but is not limited to aggressive
behaviour, unsuitable environments, or unforeseen health and safety concerns.
We kindly ask all clients to respect these conditions, which are in place to support a positive
and ethical therapeutic experience for everyone involved.
Thank you for choosing Together for your Animal Assisted Therapy session. To ensure the safety, comfort, and well being of our animals, staff, and participants, we ask all clients to carefully read and agree to the above Terms and Conditions prior to the session.

Our animals are carefully prepared for therapeutic work using a welfare-led, evidence-based approach that recognises the individual needs, histories, and preferences of each animal. Many of our animals are rescues or rehomes, and as such we prioritise long-term observation, relationship-building, and positive, force-free handling to assess suitability for therapy work, in line with recognised animal-assisted intervention best practice, which emphasises choice, consent, and stress minimisation. Animals are introduced gradually to environments, equipment, and human interaction over an extended period, allowing them to demonstrate natural behaviours and comfort levels without pressure. Where an animal shows signs that therapeutic work is not appropriate for them, their welfare is placed first; we ensure they are safe, healthy, and supported, and, where relevant, carefully matched with a suitable forever home. All staff and volunteers undergo strict training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of animal care, behaviour, stress signals, and ethical handling, reducing the risk of harm to both animals and participants. In addition, clear and strict rules are communicated to all individuals prior to any interaction with the animals, ensuring informed consent, respectful behaviour, and safe, predictable environments. This structured, compassionate approach ensures that animal welfare remains central while supporting safe and effective therapeutic outcomes.
